In the month of December, almost 100 of you took advantage of our Christmas BOTOX® Special. Thank you for your patronage. Everyone seems to like the results, but no one says they like the actual injections. So I listened carefully to your comments on the discomfort associated with BOTOX® and Juvederm and consider the practical solutions.

I myself use BOTOX® and I am here to tell you it does hurt. Although I never flinch (I am a tough guy), I can tell you it is no fun for me either. I promised many of you that by the time you returned in March or April, I would have something better to offer.

So, I acquired a dental N2O/O2 machine for the filler room and the first twenty or so patients have enthusiastically welcomed it! Nitrous oxide is known as laughing gas and is easy to administer, is completely safe, produces a pleasant analgesia in two minutes and wears off in just a few more minutes. And yes, several patients actually laughed or giggled their way through the injections.

But the biggest surprise of all was with men. Almost universally they say: “this is no big deal, I won’t need nitrous oxide.” But once they try it, all say they will never go back to stoicism again.

As far as I know, we are the only office in the world to offer Nitrous Oxide Sedation for injectables discomfort. It has already proven to be a big winner.

I will offer N2O/O2 sedation complimentary to all injectable patients for the months of April and May. There after it is available for a $15.00 additional charge. From the enthusiastic responses so far, I think that it will prove to be a bargain and a blessing.
